Chicago Computer Club is hosting a computer recycling event on April 21st from 10 am to 4 pm. Everyone who recycles an old computer, monitor, or printer can enter into a raffle. The winner will receive a premium Android tablet custom configured by our resident tablet expert. All old computers will be cleaned to safeguard your personal information. What: Earth Day Recycling Event April 21st from 10 am – 4 pm. We guarantee that all computers will be clean wiped to protect personal information. In addition we will provide those who recycle e-waste with coupon valid for complimentary computer service. Why: Chicago Computer Club is committed to reducing toxic e-waste in our landfills as a part of our mission to be a vital neighborhood resource throughout Chicago’s neighborhoods. Recycling events are an integral part of our effort to remove e-waste from the trash stream.
How: Residents can drive to and and drop off computers and related hardware such as printers and monitors to the event location at 4325 S Cottage Grove Avenue. Residents who drop off e-waste will receive special offers from Chicago Computer Club. They also can enter a contest for a chance to win a brand new premium Android tablet.
If you are not sure if your item can be recycled please call us first before dropping off. We cannot accept household electronics, light bulbs and related items.
